Savings Bond Pilot a Success

Tax season 2008 marked the second time that low-income tax clients at a range of tax sites have had an opportunity to purchase Series I U.S. Savings Bonds with part of their tax refund. D2D andabout 30 VITA sites helped over 1000 tax clients purchase nearly savings bonds.  Clients purchased over $200,000 worth of savings bonds. Stay tuned for more on results from the pilot.
