Save to Win Announces $125,000 of Grand Prize Winners

Save to Win has awarded $125,000 in prizes to 11 lucky savers in Michigan and Nebraska. Save to Win Michigan has divided its $100,000 in prizes among 10 credit union members, receiving $10,000 each. The prizes will be presented to the winners during the “Week of Winning ” by the Michigan Credit Union League’s “Prize Squad.” In 2012, over 15,000 members of 58 credit unions saved through Save to Win Michigan. They collectively saved $43.6 million, with an average account balance of more than $2,872 per person. Save to Win Michigan was first implemented in 2009 through collaboration between the Michigan Credit Union League, the Filene Research Institute, and D2D.

Save to Win Nebraska has awarded its inaugural grand prize of $25,000 to one lucky credit union member. In its first year, Save to Win Nebraska has also given out $18,000 in cash prizes to reward the over 1,600 credit union members who hold Save to Win accounts. In 2012, members from 10 Nebraska credit unions saved over $1.97 million, with an average of $1,200 per account. Save to Win Nebraska launched in 2012 through collaboration between the Nebraska Credit Union League, Michigan Credit Union League, and D2D.
